If skiing isn’t your cup of tea (or if Jack Frost is showing his ugly side), Boyne offers much more than glidin’ down the glades. The following activities provide a week’s worth of fun:
- Take the family tubing
- Splash at Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark
- Relax and enjoy s’mores around the bonfire
- Glide down an exciting series of ziplines (60 lbs and up)
- Experience the thrill of a dog sled ride
- Play in the heated indoor / outdoor pool
- Relax in one of Boyne’s many whirlpools
- Splurge on a spa treatment for mom or dad
- Cross country ski through the woods
- Teach the kids to ice skate
- Enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh or wagon ride
- Watch a family movie on movie night
- Listen to bedtime stories in the library
- Experience grooming first-hand with a snow cat ride.
- Savor a cup of cocoa and fabulous view from the Eagle’s nest
- Take the family snowshoeing
Summer offers a host of warm-weather activities that will keep you coming back to Boyne Mountain year after year. In addition to world-class golf and epic mountain bike trails, Boyne Mountain owns a private little gem of a beach on Deer Lake. The Beach House restaurant and tiki bar are the perfect setting for summer fun on the water.
The beach is VERY shallow – about 2 ft. at the end of the dock – so it is a great spot for little ones to splash and play. Boyne provides kayaks and small sailboats free of charge on a first-come-first serve basis. Jet skis and small power boats are available for rental as well.
If you’re looking for a midwest vacation destination that is well-suited for traveling with young children, Boyne offers value that can’t be beat!
